I am being made redundant from work and have just received notification of my Annual Review.I informed my IP as soon as I was put at risk, but had to call them and remind them of my situation and to be fair they have been very good and said that they will just want my wife's pay slips rather than my own for the last 12 months. Due to my redundancy money we have committed to maintain the current payments, but I was still surprised that they did not want to review my income for the last year. Is this normal practice?

There is not much point in reviewing wageslips for a job you no longer have - I sincerely hope that you find another one before your redundancy money runs out, and bear in mind that any surplus left if this does happen will fall to be paid over to the supervisor as a windfall.

Melanie,

thanks for the response.

The company I work for has just told me that they will extend my period of work as there is still a short term need for me to continue working for them. I still have the threat of not having a job, but may have a six month breathing space. Would this chnage there position on not reviewing my wage slips or is it more the case that they will keep the status quo as long as they are receiving the monthly payments from me.

Then I think that you will have to submit wage-slips. Give your Supervisor a ring to explain the situation, and take advice on this point directly from them.
