It is bad that they are making you wait this long. I would certainly try emailing your IP direct if you've heard nothing back by this evening.

are you able to ring them during lunch, or go make a coffee and ring them. I must admit I totally understand where you are coming from. I once had to make a call that I didn't want the whole world to hear, it was to find out if I was pregnant and although I knew I would have to tell my boss anyway i didn't want to do it straight awy.....so i hid in the toilets and phoned LOL

nope LeaKybrain..... I cant even sneak off anywhere, I am accountable for every second i am in the office and questioned when I am not...... besides, i had spent nearly a full work day questioning as to why there might be a creditors meeting when i was paying, without any issue, more than the initial agreed amount.....my work therefore has already suffered for one day so surely they should be true to their word and let me know, after all they did say I will know by Friday.

I can't even hide in the toilets - no mobile signal!

Do you have a tea break you could use?

My reviews have so far been painless. Done over the phone and we make sure we have sorted out all the figures beforehand. Third one coming up soon.

Dont get a coffee break as such, I could take five minutes out but I would need to step outside the office to a very very busy London street where I would not be able to hear much, PLUS, the call would take more than five minutes.

That is why I think it is easier to email, at least, wen it is something as simple as this I would have thought it would have been easier anyway....

Hi wuffy - email sounds like a good idea. I hope you hear soon. It's very unfair to keep you waiting like this.

I personally cannot understand the logic of an IP cutting someone's allowances at the annual review point without good reason - and then increasing the disposable income. Greedfighter should definately get a second opinion, and as it is the IP who signs out the report after reviewing their staff's work, then they must have agreed this as well which is most odd.

Just to update....

Today I spoke to the person looking after my case and discussed the issues outlined above. It was agreed that my payments would be kept as per my I & E, so relief all round!

I feel a lot better and think that the air was cleared to a great extent and from this point on things should be straight forward. I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep!

I understand that the IP firm works on behalf of the creditors to get them the best return and I believe we all get caught up in the moment hence the negative comments that are sometimes left on this site. No matter what I have been through I know that without the IVA I would be in dire straits and without the IP firm I would be up that creek without that paddle. While it's easy to forget that in moments of stress, I believe we should all take a step back sometimes and remember those days when the phones were ringing constantly, when callers were asking "how much can you afford then" and all that turned up in the post was statement after statement after statement. Having the IVA has stopped all that so I have and always will recommend to anyone who asks, the IP company working on my behalf.
