Had a text from our iva company to congratulate us on being in our iva for a year!

This has got me thinking about our annual review (have already sent paperwork off and waiting for update!). If there is an increase in payments and we do not agree can we contest it?

Reason I ask is the way our payments have been calculated, I paid monthly and bills paid monthly, all other income (hubby salary and all benefits paid 4 weekly) however payments calculated on a monthly basis making it look like we have more of a cash inflow each month than we actually do.

Is it possible to have payment calls changed from monthly to four weekly? Tried to get hold of relationship manager but on leave at the moment!

Thanks

Katie

This seems perfectly reasonable and you woul djust make 13 payments per year instead of 12. Speak to your IP about amending the payment dates.

We have lots of clients who pay their contributions on a weekly or four weekly basis for these very reasons. There should be no difficulty in getting your standing order amended.
