Hi

I called CO-OP tonight to find out whether my account had been accepted - it has. She gave me my new account number over the phone so my OH can get next weeks wage (and this weeks when its returned from A&L)paid into our new account. Just need to use my new found IT skills to create a mail merge to send to all my DD companies and monies in.

One step at a time!

Well done Dee.

I found getting a new account difficult - I don't think I could get my head round the fact that I actually was not going to pay my creditors again until (hopefully) my IVA is accepted. Very strange feeling. I hate owing people and feel really guilty.

Well done Dee

When I changed from Lloyds TSB to Nationwide after 25 years of being with Lloyds it was a real psychological turning point for me. I hadn't realised how integral the relationship with one's bank is with one's life.

Moving to Nationwide did feel like a new start in life though.

I must admit Debbie that I was glad to be shut of my bank account. We had been with HSBC for about 25 years and customer service used to be ace. As the years have gone on and it went from being a small midland bank to a huge multinational who cares nothing about you as an individual. Once we got behind with payments they were a nightmare with phone calls and letters and taking money out of the account when they knew we couldn't afford it and then charging us because we were over our overdraft limit.

So glad we are with Nationwide now with no chance of that happening
