Just got home from work and found a letter from Alliance & Leicester on the mat.

"Notice of Sums in Arrears"

The letter waffles on about how much i'm behind with my payments and to contact them ASAP to discuss the status of the account.

I guess they are just trying to get me to pay them something... even though i'm nearly 3 years into my IVA and have a F&F offer on the table. (meeting on Dec 9th).

I take it they have received the notice letter.[:D]

Its probably just a computer generated letter thats issued to everyone a couple of months in arrears, it most probably will have no bearing on your F and F offer.

You could send it along to your IP, dont let it unsettle you too much, the computer that generated it might blow up if it was fed anything positive.

Good luck for the 9th Dec. I will be sending some postives your way.

By law now, these companies have to send out a statement at least once a year.

I wouldn't worry about it, just pass it on to your IP.

Good luck for the 9th.

before my iva was accepted, but going through the process, i found it depressing opening the letters, so i use to put a bin next to the door, so when the postman put them through the letter box, they went straight in bin and thats were they stayed, i didnt have a landlind and changed my mobile number, it was great no one could put under pressure

The letters never bothered me, I used to reply politely to them to keep them informed of what I was doing.

Never answered the phone though.
