Hi
We now have 449 signatures on my petition to abolish or restrict access to the Insolvency register. There are now numerous companies, all unregulated and unqualified, trying to assist you with bankruptcy[at a large cost]or a remortgage[for a full and final settlement of your IVA]These companies need to be monitored and regulated and can only operate successfully from info that they gain from the online insolvency register.
Let's see if we can raise the number of signatures to over 500 and hopefully will see a reduction in the number of companies that are simply preying on the vulnerable for huge financial gain.
If we can stop these companies from accessing the online info then only the bona fide ones will survive

456[:D]

You should back up your petition with a letter to the PM Andy (if you havent already!)
it said in the news this week that the PM telephones about 20 people a week to discuss the letters they have sent him.
In a way hes in the same boat as many of us....hes blown a fortune over the last few years and now the pot is empty and hes struggling to cope!! [:D]

Hi Andy,
I signed yesterday after being told about it. Here's hoping someone takes some notice!! It's true - apparently if you write to the PM, or your MP, they often phone you to discuss your concerns. It might be worth a go to try and raise the profile. Mind you if the petition gets a lot of publicity it may encourage the general public to have a look at the register and that wouldn't be good as god only knows who will have access to all our details.

Trouble is, when his pot is empty he just steals more from us!

It's even worse when you have never had anything to do with Northern Rock in your life but you know your money will be used to bail them out!

I saw that bit about Gordon Brown ringing people - apparently he calls from 6.30 in the morning. If he rung me at that time I'd tell him exactly where he could stick his telephone!
