Hia all. I just wanted to drop in and thank everyone on here for their help and support over the last 3 years. Without the advice and posts on this site, I would probably have thrown in the towel a while ago. My IVA was approved in January 2008, and thanks to some prudent choices, and the support of a wonderful mother-in-law, I was able to make a full and final offer last month.

Spoke to my I.P yesterday and my offer has been accepted. You have probably all got an idea of how well I slept laast night for the first time in years.

It's not been an easy path, with a bout of long term illness, pay reductions, and a new arrival in the family, it's been a little challenging. But when I think back to the times when those debt collection letters came flying through the door, it's been worth it!

Anyhow, I'll keep lurking on here in the background and hopefully can share some experience and throw some free advice around if anyone needs it.

That's excellent news, so pleased for you.

Please keep posting - it's always inspirational for those of us still battling through to see that it is possible to come out the other side, and your experience will be invaluable on here.

Well, after a couple of weeks of decent sleep - I'm beginning to look my age again instead of a haggard old man.. Hopefully I've encouraged a fellow worker to opt for an IVA - they're in a similar situation to what I found myself in, and it's nice being able to offer friendly advice when it comes to money for a change.

It is good to be able to do that isn't it? We're just helping to sort out my stepdaughter with one, hopefully she can get back on track soon.
