I'd much rather have Windows XP!

I got home last night and Dave had already loaded McAfee for me, so I didn't have to ask him, and even better he hasn't mentioned money!

Can't be bad!

I loved Vista, it seemed to have so much more than 7 does and I have the premium version loaded, as I am sure you have.

What I always say with these things is - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

animaleyes...thanks for the heads up on Microsoft Security Essentials. Currently have 2 years Norton for under a tenner for 3 pc's from "fleabay" but having read up on MSE it certainly seems a cheap (free), no-frills and straight forward program, which appears to do what it says on the tin. Well worth consideration i'd say and great for those with no protection at all.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!

no worries. it's always nice to help.

I love windows 7. It's much quicker than Vista, Aero peek/snap/shake are all cool too.

Can't say enough good about W7 64 bit..

god. what with this and my MSE recommendation i sound like i work for microsoft lol!

Are you sure they're not paying you?[:D][:D]

Perhaps I'm just not used to 7 yet, but I did love Vista.

If it's free and it works, then go with it.
