And it's also the worst anti virus I've ever had the misfortune to use, and almost impossible to remove from your PC!

I don't think we ever got rid of it off my old laptop - it hung on in there until the laptop died!

Don't get me started on Norton!

It is a good programme, but it's not cheap and you cannot get rid of it all. I had horrendous problems with my last laptop.

I've got Comodo and am more than happy with that.

we have 3 forms of defense ... Avast Free edition - then SuperAntiSpyware for those nasties that get through - and lastly the best of all - MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to get rid of those malware virus that cause so much problems - all of these are FREE to download and work absolute wonders :o) MalwareBytes saved our PC from the blue screen of death too lol!!! :o)

I have Comodo Anti Virus, as previously stated, Adaware, ASquared free and SuperAntiSpyware and I swear by all of them.

I don't use anti-virus i run a 5 year old apple mac, great for surfin the net, although it is falling apart a little, the y key falls off and the battery died a few years ago and the power lead is a little dodgy but it works well enough for surfing the net, some facebooking etc..

I do have a new laptop which was brought for me a year ago but as yet haven't even switched it on, i just prefer the mac to windows pc!

I've never used a Mac - I'm a creature of habit and I'm still trying to get used to Windows 7!

Dave says if I had my way I'd still be on Windows 98 and Office 97!

I used BT internet when we first went with them, which was Norton. They then changed to Mcafee and I could not get rid of Norton and upgrade.

Different laptop now, so I use the free stuff. So much better and no problem if you do want to use something else.

Mac doesn't seem to get the same problems as Windows with virus's anyway.

I do like Windows though!

That's why we had Norton to start with. As I said before I'd use the free stuff, but if someone else is paying then I'm not saying no!!!

Don't blame you.

I would have stuck with Norton, but BT changed to Mcafee and I was stuffed!

At least with the free stuff you can get rid of if you need to and go elsewhere.
