We have this every year and it is horrible.

Try to find the actual nest outside and put the powder there. Failing that put the powder around all the door openings.

Hope you get rid of them.

we've put it round the doors.. can't put it on the window sill as the cat sits there in the sun.. suppose they're harmless.. but not very nice[:)]

if they're stopping they can pay rent[:I]

Good luck I hope they leave a good tip too!

I see from your signature you have made two payments in your IVA, we have too, will be making the 3rd payment in June.

It is so nice knowing that you are not on your own.

Have a good bank holiday.

We had them in the kitchen and couldnt find out where they were coming from. we got one of those nippon ant traps a litle box with gooey syuff you put in like syrup. They take it back to the nest. For two days we left it ther in the kitchen and then we saw a little trail off ants, we followed it all the way back along the skirting, ther was just this great long line one going one way andd the other going back, quite amazing they were coming from under the front step. Horrible little devils but gosh they walked a long way to and fro the kitchen. we used ther powder then and they were gone. You need the nest then they willl stop.

We get a lot of ants by both outside doors. We got some of those little ant bait stations and put them there. It seems to do the trick and we have managed to keep them out of the house.

I read in one of my mags ( the saving cash part!!) that drawing a line of chalk will stop them as they dont like it so wont come over it. Not sure how true but it may be worth a try and least that wont harm your cats[:)]

Can't say I've heard of that one Becky, but those ant bait stations are quite good and won't harm cats as they can't get into them. Hubbie think we got them from Wilkinson. First saw them in Florida (when we could afford holidays!) and they worked, so used them here

They are not too bad if they are outside. We once had them in the house. The carpet (which was a dark shade of pink) was usually black every morning and I had to hoover them up. We also got married around this time and had a party at our house and the morning after they were all over the leftover food - I shudder to remember it!

Cant say we have that much trouble with ants.........but spiders.......theyre bigger than the dog and come armed with baseball bats. Hate them i do. We have a Border Collie who's a bit of a dope so i try and show him the spiders if we see them on the floor and he eats them [:D]
