Today I was driving down the m27 and my car packed up on me!! My OH reckons it is the head gasket, ie a lot of money!! We are moving house next week so I need it mobile as I don't really want to get rid of it! I don't have any money spare cos of move. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do?? Would DFD maybe let me miss one payment and tag it onto end of IVA?? I really have no idea.

you should really speak to your IP on this... they will be best to advise, with your individual circumstances... Good luck with the car and your move

Hi jojo

Sorry to hear this about your car but best to have a chat with your IP as you maybe able to come to an arrangement with them and get the car fixed.
Hope move goes ok and things get sorted xx
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Ah so sorry jojo, you don't really need this do you?! As everyone has said, call your IP, they are used to things like this and I'm sure will help you, good luck. Viki X

Hi Jojo,

As everyone has already suggested speak with your IP.

Normally your proposal will make provisions for this and allow a payment break to get the essential repairs.

Then as you say either tag on the end or make up over the following months.

Thanks for all your replies. I'm trying to get hold of someone from DFD, but as usual it's really hard to get through! Always busy!! Never mind, hopefully persistence will pay off!!
