I have been in an IVA since March of this year. As yet my yearly payrise is still under negotiation- local government. However, ?I have gone up one payscale - £21 per month. I informed them of this in April 08 and got no reply. I wanted to know would this affect my payments. Now, I have contacted them twice by e mail to ask what happens regarding this tax refund which is due in September. In between this they have asked for my payslips for review purposes. Am I right in thinking that if they wanted back money /increase then they could take it all at once I a period of time in which to pay this off should they want to increase it. I did state that my increment was eaten up with cost of living but B and E dont explain anything or e mail me back so I have resorted to writing to them as a last resort and trying to see if anybody on this form had experienced similar situation (maybe local government employee like myself)
I'm not sure what happens with an increment Lynnd C,don't know if it is classed as a normal payrise, one of the technical experts will advise on that when they pick this thread up.
As far as the tax refund is concerned, I think we are ok to keep that.

Hi lynnd c.I work for the nhs,and i recieved my annual cost of living rise one month after my iva was approved. It works out at about £30 extra per month. So i rang my ip office to inform them of the rise, and was told that due to the ever increasing cost of living it would not be necessary to increase my monthly iva payments..hope you manage to get sorted out[:)]
