I remember it in about 1971/2 when everybody was on a 4 day week and we had power cuts for about 4 hours a day in the evening. We had a fireplace at home in the kitchen and burned whatever we could as we were all electric, my mum used the veg and anything we were putting in the bin, petrol was also a prob even though not many people had cars, there was non for the buses.

Of course you are Paul! I'm the first to admit that I'm an old git!

Vinnie - I remember that as well! Having to go the cinema early because of the timed power cuts, I lived with my parents then and we had coal fires so at least we had heat!

Paul - flattery will get you almost everywhere! Even to FF!

My old man would seriously wonder if you needed a guide dog and white stick though!
