Who are just lending ???
I'm in my last 4 months of my iva, which is also the 12 months extended ..so light at the end of the tunnel !

I've had a text a few days ago from creditfix who manage my iva , saying they have instructed a company called just lending to contact me who have a new option which may allow me to exit my iva early and if I would like to discuss this , contact them with a number provided ...
What the hell is this ???
Obviously going to be a loan to pay off the remaining and load me up with even more debt !!!
As said, we have 4 months remaining of the extended 12 months and now looking forward to finishing and moving on ....
Anyone else had this ???

Hi,

They do do this but you can tell them to get lost if you are almost at the end.

This seems a bit bizarre as you are already in an extension and your property will be excluded now anyway once the last payments are made. You need to speak with them and make sure they realise your IVA is nearly over and not due for another extension.

Sounds like a mail shot has just gone out to those nearing the end .. CF haven't (again) taken the time to differentiate between clients coming up to the original end date and those coming up to the extended end date.

A phone call should put them right.

I had the same text this week, I deleted it as only 9 months of my 6th year left. Had a brief issue at equity release time when CF passed my details to Just Lending when I thought CF were going to force me into a secured loan, but it got sorted out in the end and I extended for another year.

If you have had nothing in your paperwork about secured loan then you don't have to do it.

I too had CF / 'Just Lending' approach me, as discussed here:

http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TO ... hichpage=1

...They have today re-contacted me, explaining that they can now offer something to IVA homeowners, like me, who have yet to go through the Month 54 malarkey.

I gave them some basic information, and have asked for a few more facts and figures, if they deem me to be eligible. I shall update the forum if/when the get back to me.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

Kallis I do not intend to accept a secured loan, I just wondered if they contact me but seeing as the letter has no contact info I shall just wait to say no. It is all a bit weird with CF!

Hi everyone,
Have not posted a while since the PJG/Credit Fix sold down the river incident.
I also have had a few texts and emails about “being free from IVA restrictions with a personal loan”, but am just going to ignore it. Would be interesting to hear from anyone who tried for the loan.
I am halfway through my IVA and am hoping after the 60th payment that will be it. I don’t own any property so can’t be fleeced for any more money.

Thanks

It should be - they cannot make you take out a secured loan with no property and, unless it states anything on your paperwork, they cannot force you to take out a loan of any sort.

There is a product being pushed which is unsecured and for those in IVAs. You need to consider carefully whether or not it would be right for you.

Here is an interesting article from a genuinely independent person;
