Has anyone had any success stories regarding getting a mortgage a year after they have finished their iva and if so who was the broker and how much deposit was needed? Please give me a bit of hope to cling to!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

One of our posters has managed to get a mortgage but she did have a 50% deposit!

I think you are going to need a decent size deposit before looking at a mortgage these days, regardless of whether or not you are in an IVA.

Only one poster that I know of has managed to secure a mortgage since the subprime market collapsed and she had a 50% deposit. Keep saving and waiting for lending policies to ease up. I'll be in the same boat too!!
