Hi

I posted on here yesterday regarding the less than satisfactory service we were receiving from our IP company. I'm not sure if I can mention them outright but I will give it a go and see what happens. Has anyone dealt with Invocas? We were put to them through Debt Solutions Helpline, who were really helpful and friendly, but as soon as we were passed over to Invocas the communication has been virtually nill unless we chase them up. As it is we were promised a call from yet another advisor this week but have heard nothing. I am now really annoyed with them. Hubby is going to phone the National Debt Helpline for advice and start the process of looking for another IP company.

Sorry if mentioning the name of the company is not acceptable, but would appreciate any information.

Kind regards and happy weekend.

Emma [:)]

Why don't you phone one of the companies who post on here? They do come highly recommended as many of the posters will testify.

You can find some of them via the expert link on the left hand side of the page, or www.iva.com where there are many more and they have reviews, so you can see what people think of them.

Hi Jan

Thank you for replying so fast! The problem I have at the mo is my dear husband who is slightly hesitant at starting the whole process over again, though it would be the wise thing to do.

The IVA is going to be in his name, as all the debts are in his name so its difficult for me to get involved as they only want to talk to him. Though it wont hurt starting the ball rolling so to speak.

He's more patient than me and is still waiting for Invocas to call but I'm really annoyed that we've heard nothing for weeks now and they fail to call when they say.

I think he's also nervous of taking out an IVA so he was going to talk to National Debt Helpline just to see what else we could do. I just wish he'd get a move on, but he has alot of pressure at work at the moment with it slowing down now and he's a director with his families company so I think he's really feeling the pressure.

Anyway,much appreciate your response.

Kind regards

Emma [:)]

It is a shame that you are not happy with the service your are receiving from your IP. As you have to work with them for a long time, you should only choose someone you feel comfortable with, and it might be sensible to shop around for a little while longer.

Thank you for replying. I will get husband to look at this site when he's free (he's putting baby to bed at mo!).

I'm sure we can find someone we trust, its a big deal for me to have that. It seems to have been held up because Andy is a Director of a small family business, but we were only told that when WE chased them up!

Anyway, we're off ice skating tomorrow with girls, so will forget our troubles for a few hours! Though judging by weather forecast could quite easily stay at home and skate in the garden.

Night all and thankyou for your advice.

Hey mommymook, I don't think you should look any further than this site for an expert that can help you. I worked for Invocas (for two days!) They are a very big organisation and I don't think you will get the personal touch I think you need.

Any of the experts who post on here will put your husbands mind at ease. A lot of them are from small companies where you will get the personal touch.

We're here as well for any support or advice you may need.

As the others have said it would definitely be worth you speaking to one of the experts who post on this forum. You need to have faith in your IP as you will work with them for 5 years, and if you're not comfortable at the moment the chances are things won't get any better over that time.

Good luck and enjoy the ice skating x
