I just looked them up and in their online infor there is nothing about 2 months up front.

It actually says that fees are taken from IVA payments...

2 months up front are no good for me.

I have no money for bus pass to work as it is....

Thanks for your comment - at least I know.

They don't have it as one payment they basically work out what you would pay into an IVA and then you start paying each month as you would have to in an IVA while the get the ball rolling.

Oliver from Thomas Charles posts on here regularly, He may post to inform you exactly what's required and why

Ok- have TCh wrote to your creditors or did you have to do it yourself?

My understanding is that some companies do it for you and some do not...

They put together a pack containing the information you have given them, along with forms etc authorising them to discuss your accounts with your creditors, from there they put you in touch with an IP who goes over everything with you again and puts together a draught proposal for you to check over. The IP will need to contact creditors to obtain balances etc but in the mean time you will get letters or phone calls from the creditors as whether they have contacted the creditors or not it will not stop them hassling you until IVA is accepted.

Hope this helps [:)]

Thanks - still....

I understand you need to contact your creditors at the same time as you cancel your DD to them which is way before IVA goes into force (provided it is approved which you do not at that stage yet)

They can hassle me all they like - will just unplug the house phone and screen mobile calls if anyone calls me at work... that is another matter <devil>

I am still missing info on the step between:

* Open a nwe bankl account and cancel all DD going to creditors

* IVA approved/rejected

I was advised to cancel payments and avoid phone calls, but once the application is in process you can tell creditors who is dealing with it and give them their contact details.

I told my creditors that I was advised that if I couldn't afford to pay all creditors that I wasn't to pay any of them. They seemed to understand this and most just like to be kept updated

Ok but... Have you, yourself sent out any letters to your creditors at the time of cancelling your DD/payments to them to let them know you are going for IVA?

Sorry to be a pain :(
Thanks

You aren't a pain [:)] When you get the letters of authorisation you have to have 1 for each creditor, these have to be signed by you then sent to the creditors. So yes you would send them but that is the only thing that I have sent personally.
