johnpaul i believe you when you say you didn't mean to offend anybody. Like i said, for some forum members things are still quite raw. Please keep posting because you have also raised a few good points.

ahh bless ya johnpaul. I am sure no-one will hold it against you. Your threads have been very interesting....if i could just offer 1 bit of advice....type your answer...read it back to yourself twice and THEN hit the send key. This is a lesson i have learned on another forum cos at times i have just hit send then thought pants that sounds wrong when i havent meant it to. xx

John Paul

Dont worry about it now, I think that bagpuss said just the right thing, read your answers first and questions too. We are all here in debt and trying to do what is right to pay them back, just like you are. If you have any problems just ask because we care how you are feeling also.

Due to the excessive number of posts from JohnPaul and the somewhat unstructured style of posting it has been decided that it is best for all concerned if JohnPaul does not post on this forum anymore.

We wish JohnPaul all the best and hope that the advice he received was of help.

Good luck with your IVA John Paul, and I hope that one day you will come to terms with the fact that Credit is going to be forced up on you, by marketing companies, all your life..and just like adverts for food, drink cars and loo rolls! It is our own choice wether we take it or leave it!...thats the beauty of our democratic country!

Wow

I've been offline most of the weekend and just picked up this thread. JohnPaul was a member for 4 days and has 311 posts!!! That is a lot of questions.

Did I miss anything?

hi skippy,

It may be that 'john' is part of some kind of spamming attempt as he has registered multiple accounts from the same ip address using different emails and names.

We are not sure if this is related but this site has been the surprising victim of over 10 sustained hacking attempts over the last 8 months. Ranging from SYN flood, teardrop attack, IRC flooding, and other sophisticated DOS attacks. We have upgraded the firewall 3 times and upgraded the system architecture 4 times (you may recall the site has been slow from time to time). We host many sites across many different sectors and this is the only one that has had this very high level of hacking and attacks.

It does appear that for some reason there are people who would prefer that this forum/site did not exist! We have monitored the IP addresses of some of the less sophisticated hacking attempts and since these are traceable, we are considering legal action or a publicity campaign against those responsible.

If any of the responsible users of this forum suspect someone like 'john' of being a spammer then please let Andy know through his profile page:
http://www.iva.co.uk/andy_davie_profile.asp

We thank you for your vigilance and its a shame there are people out there who wish to ruin something that is so obviously helping so many people.
