There is no record of an IVA in a CRB check

Don't know where you stand on the residency front.

I've looked at this before for clients and yes, being in an IVA would certainly not help your application for permanent resident status.
They ask the question on the application forms I believe and would probably check the Bankruptcy and IVA registers.

Welcome to the Forum j2x,

The IVA would not appear on your CRB report as it is not a criminal offence. In regards to your permanent residency status if you would like to know more about how this would affect you, you could always call the home office.

An IVA will show on your credit file for a period of 6 years from its start.

Being in an IVA could have an adverse affect on your residency application and it may be better to enter into an informal arrangement with your creditors until this status has been approved.
