Approved IVA yesterday. Don't know how I should feel. Relieved is only part of it, also ashamed, annoyed (with self) and still too afraid to share the news with my partner, so I have nobody to discuss this with. Did anyone else feel like this when they got approved. I just don't feel there is anything to celebrate! :(

In the days after acceptance I think most of us run the whole gamut of emotions but it will settle down as you learn to come to grips with your new IVA life.

There are two ways to look at this and you will bounce between them at first:

1) Utter failure --- messed up your life and things will never be the same again. Angry at yourself and also angry at the lenders for allowing this to happen. Or .....

2) You are now in control. You are taking positive steps to put things right. After 5 years you will be debt free and normality will return.

You are far from alone and it was life that brought this on, not stupidity but circumstances.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
