had a very positive chat with my IVA company today, she feels the proposal should fly through, she said all is within the guidelines etc and they deal with grant thornton etc everyday so know their requirements. fingers crossed, its nice to feel a bit positive after months of stress and a big black cloud over me, she also told me some companies may vote early..

Brilliant!!!

A lot of companies vote early but your IP cannot tell you the result until the day as they can always change their mind! Not known of any who have though.

The good thing with companies like GT voting is that you can expect a professional and balanced decision to be made. As an ethically run company they are looking for the best and most viable solution. Not to try and shaft you like some others. I think as they are voting on behalf of another company they will look at the return that the IVA will generate vs bankruptcy amongst other things. They won't just say "the policy says no"
"Just when you think that you can make ends meet, somebody moves the ends."

Hi there Key, my iva was accepted last week and my debts are with MBNA, Egg, Halifax, Capital One, Lloyds TSb and Tesco. All voted yes apart from MBNA who did'nt vote at all.
The best of luck for the 18th, will be keeping everything crossed for you[:)]

MBNA haven't changed then since mine!! I wonder why they don't vote? They were a nightmare with me when I was trying to get payments reduced and were the ones that tipped me over the edge into an IVA when they increased the minimum repayments so they get what they deserve in my opinion!!

We have an MBNA debt and when we spoke to them to make our DMP payment Monday, they said that an IVA would be a good route to take as they accept them, rather than a DMP- whether they say that on the day is another matter mind !!!
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

I owed MBNA the greatest amount (15k) but they did not send a single letter or make any phone calls to me. Capital One, however, who were owed £1,500 pestered me night and day.
