Dave

Its valid for 28 days and all that happened was it slipped down into the dark part of the windscreen, its so petty. I am going to photocopy the thing and take issue with them but if I pay it now its only 30 and if it goes over two weeks its 60.

Can you not go to their offices to present the evidence to them? Thats what I did on 3 separate occasions and each time they cancelled it. They will rightly say that as the warden couldn't see it the ticket had to be issued but usually accept that you were parking legally once you show your pass.

Be nice and smiley to them to start with and only lose your rag if they are refusing to cancel the ticket.

Good luck.

Dave.

p.s. Pretty crap day at work myself so will clink glasses with you as I drink my bottle of half price wine.

Cheers
Regards

Dave

oh lilly, i'm so sorry.

i had a parking ticket once that was for a very similar reason. i sent it off and they just apologised and waived the fee.

as for the creditor isn't there some kind of law that they cant say things like that in public? its all confidential stuff which shouldn't be mentioned

keep that head held high and just think that you are a much better person than him/her.

Lily

If you appeal your ticket and you then lose your appeal, then you will still get the opportunity to pay the £30 otherwise you would have been disadvantaged by appealing. This happened to me but I won my appeal but the guff I got acknowledging my appeal advised me that if I lost I would still pay the £30 if paid within 2 weeks of the decision. Good luck.

Hi Lily
Only jst read your thread hope things seem better today.I know to some people a parking ticket doesn't seem that bad but when you feel you are constantly being judged it sometimes jst tips you over the edge especaily when you are not even at fault, and as for being eyeballed by some slimeball ex creditor then know wonder you felt so p....d off.
Hang in there Lily your one hell of a strong lady.

Take care love to you and your children

Tracy

I am feeling Ok today tracey thanks, sometimes it feels like you are walking up vertically and holding on with your fingernails and just have to let go. Anyway I had a really good cry and pulled myself together with a bottle of cheapo wine. The best thing apart from Scaredkex's lovely emails was the wonderful support form the forum, I hope I can give something back because it really helped me yesterday.

So thank you all.

lily,
glad your feeling better today! we sympathise with your feelings,my partner and i have decided to completely disregard peoples shallow judgements and opinions, because it just makes you ill if you take notice and its not worth it. we only told two close family members about our financial problems due to necessity-- we couldnt afford to attend a family event and were under pressure to do so.
from that moment we've been villified,in their opinion we shouldn't have any life, they've told us to get jobs at a weekend on top of our full time jobs to pay our debts, that would be virtually impossible with 3 kids.
they've sneered and jibed at us,although upsetting we've decided not to rise to their comments etc, and thats how you should view things like this, because you can recover from money problems but they are stuck with their rotten attitudes.
stay strong.
