I think the forum is fantastic. In your darkest , most stressful hour you can find support and non-judgemental opinions. I can't speak highly enough of it and would have no hesitation in recommending it to people and supporting it's nomination for an award.

The think that impresses me the most is the dedication of the experts and the amount of their own time they give up to help 'us'![^][^]

The forum is priceless. It allows newcomers to obtain knowledge and receive advice from the experts and indeed all forum users. It is a lifeline to be able to receive advice and sometimes just to get things off your chest. But I feel most of all the comfort and support you get from other users is fantastic.
Receiving Support and Guidance - Priceless
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

Well I couldn't thank this forum enough for the problem I had with statutory interest in an IVA. My IP was unhelpful and with the advice gained I was able to find a way out of the problem.

This site deserves the Internet site award of the year not just for finaiancial matters but for the whole of the UK internet and should be nominated for the 2008 UK Intenet site award!

I would also suggest some people being nominated for OBE's or CBE's as well!

Actually that has given me an idea!!!!!

Why should the forum get an award.
It is a fantastic support and advice mechanism for those who are at a desperate point, it is easy to access, gives a quick response, non judgmental and I am sure has turned many lives around.

Greatest success stories
There are too many, reading a post from someone who doesnt know what to do and seeing it change sometimes over days from desperation to positivity. Just seeing someone get an answer to a question which may seem minor to some but is so important to that individual.

For me the forum was a huge support when going through the intial stages of my iva, I didnt post I was too nervous, but was supported by all the other posts, lily skippy and Andy (neverending)Reading gave me a lot of strength in a few very dark moments. The forum still gives me support, I still learn all the time, have some great friends, they put up with my moaning, and for once in my life I feel I am getting someway to being free of debt I would be lost without it.

With thanks to all Forum Members and Experts who have already responded, may I ask those who have not to give some thought to this over the weekend, as I intend to submit my Nomination on Monday March 10th.

Together we can give recognition to a Forum that has helped so many of us. If we can help to win the Award for the Forum, the publicity will be tremendous, and will help to give more credende to his opinion when on our behalf Andy speaks to the media.

1. The forum is deserving of an award because it helps people. For free. End of.

2 The greatest success stories are the posters themselves, I marvel, seriously, at the strength that they draw from each other, regardless of what the experts say.

3 I can only echo Melanie's sentiments. Regardless of what you do for a living, be it dustman, dinner lady or Chairman of the Board, it is very easy to get to a place where you just do a job. This forum is such a terrific reminder that you are dealing with real people, with real problems, that you end up posting at silly o clock because it means so much to you.

Without wishing to sound too soft, I am SO glad that I found this forum because it has re-invigorated my desire to try and make a difference, it is very easy to get into a rut and feel indifferent.

Not any more.

The greatest achievement is easy!

How many people have logged on here when their feeling down because of their debt circumstances and gleened support from like minded people and advice from experts who point out the facts. Most of us aren't debt specialists & sometimes get confused & depressed. The website offers help & support when everyone else will judge you badly. Its a support community, many people will log off feeling happier or at least more comfortable about a bad situation! Thats the only thing it needs to achieve!
its a marathon not a sprint!

I'm out of my mind but please leave a message!

Why do YOU think the Forum is worthy of this award ?
The award will raise the profile of an excellent website. The more people who know about, the more people it can help!! The advice given on the site is 100% accurate any slight inaccuracy is spotted immediately and corrected within seconds (even during the night!) There is no procrastination just hard facts and realistic solutions

What do YOU think are the Forum's greatest success stories ?
For me it’s how the forum steers people in the right direction for a debt free future

What has Membership of this Forum meant to YOU

Information, advice, support, hope and ultimately a result! My family often tell me how happy I am all the time which just goes to show how miserable I must have been when in the pool of debt
My thanks to Melanie and her team :)

This is undoubtedly THE website/ forum to provide such practical, comprehensive advice and support for IVA's.
