I have contacted several companies regarding IVA, some I immediately dismissed due to the upfront fees RE10 for instance, some I have dismissed due to poor reviews on IVA.com, namely debt free direct. I have however contacted companies that seem really good professional outfits (see below).
Melanie Giles - I have been speaking to Tina.
Free From Debt
Payplan
I have (I think) narrowed it down to these 3. It just seems to me that there are sooooooo many companies that you can spend so long researching without actually biting the bullet so to speak, that by the time you have decided, you may hve paid the debts back anyway! note I am in a DMP so about 20 years!!
I guess what I am really asking is for "real life" stories of these companies, I dont think I want to look at any different companies as I think this may only confuse the issue!
Would anybody be wiling to speak to me on the phone regarding these companies if I PM my number?
Obviously I need to get things sorted quickly but dont want to be hasty!
PLEASE HELP ME!! Everyone on here seems really nice.
I cannot speak to you on the phone but if you would like me to tell you about Melanie Giles I will on here without fear or favour. You do not know me but I only tell the truth and from experience. It is late so I am going to bed now- post if you want me to answer your questions. One thing I will say, if you go to her YOU CANNOT DO BETTER
Can't comment on Free from debt as I have not heard of them.
Melanie comes very highly recommended.
I am with Payplan and have had no problems, but if I had found this forum first, would probably have gone for Melanie's firm.

I'm with Melanie's firm and so far they have been brilliant, this forum has greatly helped me feel I am not alone, also when you get down you can come and have a rant about your experiences with the creditors.

You should also read a selection of comments posted by advisors on this forum. Melanie's firm is great and I also would reccomend her from the list you have provided.
I obviously am not allowed to recommend my own firm.
Let us know how you get on and who you decide to go with.

You mentioned you didnt want to look at any other companies but If you were to ask me I would choose between Cleardebt and Melanie. I have chosen clear debt, more of a flip of a coin than anything else.
I am with Melanie, don't have experience of others but believe me you'll not go far wrong with Melanie and team, you are certainly an individual and not a case number. Melanie is very understanding and has always been supportive towards my trial and tribulations experienced in early IVA days.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
It may be wise as others have advised to call the three companies and speak to them, see which one you feel more comfortable with. I was deciding between payplan and cleardebt, it was when I received the IVA's packs from each I decided Cleardebt was for me, as it went into so much more depth I felt more comfortable.
I am with cleardebt. As your question specifically asks who would I choose out of the 3 firms you listed then Melanie Giles would be the clear winner without a shadow of doubt. What you will get is very detailed advice (the personal touch)and for me I would be on the phone now to Melanie.
IVA.co.uk The best place for debt advice. Thanks to Melanie Giles, David Mond, David and J (Elv5) Kallis, Dand, Skippy, Andy Davie
Thanks guys for all of your personal comments - they are much appreciated - and just to confirm Hara's endorsement of Grant Thornton who are also excellent.
It's not too late to change if you haven't had your meeting yet.
