Hope it all goes ok Pandy!!

I like both modern and tradtional names but must admit that some of the ones these days do leave me cold!!!

Many years ago I used to work with someone whose surname was Priest. When his wife was pregnant he said that if it was a boy they were going to call him Christian!!! Nothing wrong with the first name but coupled with the surname?????

Thankfully they had a girl!!!

You also have to be careful these days about initials as nothing as cruel as children. For those of you that know me transpose the first letter of my youngest daughters name with the first letter of her surname! Boys think it's hilarious!

still no news, but talking of names, they are going to call her Chloe whenever she decides to come out and play, don't think they have decided on a middle name yet it was a little controversial as my son wanted her to have my name as her middle name but the DIL said that wasn't fair as then her mum would be left out and they don't want the child with 2 middle names so the discussions go on...
I told my son not to worry it was a nice thought and I am flattered that he wanted to do that but not to make an issue of it.[:)][:)]

I like Chloe Pandy. I think that 2 middle names would be ok as well.

Chloe is a nice name, except our family member with that name is currently referred to as 'the devils spawn' and her name is shortened to 'Clo' which I hate!

Jan, good job Chloe wasn't born last night on Halloween as she probably would have had the same title [:D]

I did always check her dads hair when I washed it when he was a child for 666.[:D][:D]

Some shortened names make me cringe and that's one of them, along with my own name!

Two of my 4 children call me Lez always have, the other two don't like it but it doesn't bother me at all. Other people don't shorten my name but don't think hubby thinks I've got a name as he calls me Mum all the time, if he ever says Lesley it sounds real weird!

I have nicknames for all my children and grandchildren!

my niece is called Tamara my sister chose that as she didn't mind it shortened to Tammy, when she started school the other kids just called her Tomato, none of us had foreseen that [:D][:D]

I don't mind some names being shortened - my own being one of them!! Some I don't like though. My other stepgranddaughters name is Ellie Mae and it's shortened to El! I really don't like that at all.

My mother hates my name being shortened - she always says that if she'd wanted me called Jan she'd have christened me Jan!!

Pandy - trust me, the devils spawn lives up to her name!!!!!
