Hi, hope everyone is well it's been a while! Anyway my wife and I have had it confirmed that we are expecting our first child in December, were over the moon but at the same time a little apprehensive about my IVA. When do you think I should tell DFD, shall I tell them now or shall I wait for my review in September and tell them then, im hoping my payments might come down a bit,as im finding out baby things are quite expensive! Any comments would be helpful, Cheers.

Spurs, that is fab!!! Congratulations, so pleased for you.

It's up to you when you speak to DFD. There's not long until your review anyway but hopefully Declan will pick up on this and advise.

Spurs, I'd start looking on Ebay and even Freecycle for stuff.

I love it when something happy happens to people in an IVA!

Congrats on this fantastic news!!

P.S. Don't be buying everything new, borrow from family/friends where possible!! Some of those overpriced things are only used for weeks!

I agree they're only used for weeks, I have 7 grandchildren and 2 of them are twins and they get through stuff like I can't believe. x

Congratulations to you and your wife!!

I would recommend going to a car boot sale. The lady opposite me at the weekend had some gorgeous things and was almost giving it away.

Good luck!!

Excellent news and something wonderful to look forward. I would suggest letting us know as soon as possible Spurs if for know other reason than to provide any additional advice and budgetting help.

Thanks
