Not really my thing, im a big mountain bike fan, i love to bike spend far too much time over at cannock biking, but the way the olympic bid destroyed the trails round london and promised a replacement but never did and don't plan to now, has made me think about the politics involved! not impressed at all with how they went about it!
After my dad died my mum rented out a room so she could afford to keep the house. That was 11 years ago, and even now she occasionally gets letters from companies chasing the friend of one of the tenants.
The tenant left owing mum money, and we had to change the locks as we found out he'd had extra keys cut and had given one to his friend, who it appears gave mum's address.
On the subject of the Olympics - I love sport but I wish we hadn't got the Olympics as there's no way we can afford it!
I have a suspicious mind and I can't help thinking that he was using her address for quite a few years afterwards.
In the end she did an equity release and I was glad that she did as it meant that she didn't have strangers living in the house - one did a flit, another one bumped into Dave's ex wife in the chippy and they were going out for a while and the last one disappeared for a while and it turned out he'd been in prison!
Exactly! She really didn't need the stress and I have to say that I didn't like living in the house knowing that someone else was there. They lived in the extension and we had bolts on the doors, but it wasn't a nice feeling.
As to the Oympics, I don't bother with them at all and like to think that I can go away for at least part of it.
Antm - might see you over the Chase sometime - we take the dogs there.

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
