even Gordon Ramsay had a cry I believe before he had to do the 'thing' with the animals (I thin they were pigs)

Yeah - it shows we are human I suppose. Farmers wife over the road has to go out for a drive in her car when the lorry comes to collect their cows, and they've been farming for years. I think more of animals than humans most of the time!! Still it means they are all spoilt rotten (we'd go without to feed them) and I could never be vegetarian so it would be hypicritical of me not to eat ours when they come back.

Hubby will have a go at making the dog treats, thanks Oscar [:)] Although, no need to hide cod liver oil capsules in the treats - our dog loves them [:D]

nice one Julie, two of ours will eat the cod livers if you throw them and shout 'sweets', the other will eat every morcel of his dinner, then later on suddenly spit out the cod liver oil so its easier to sneak it into the treats. Our Oscar likes a tiny bit of treacle putting into the mix but I've not put this into the recipe bit as I don't think it should be in there really - have a good weekend

Our big dog will have no problem with tablets as she snatches food if you don't tell her otherwise. Lloyd and Suzie have to have them wrapped either in bread, meat or cheese.

We managed to fool our old dog (many years ago, now) into taking her pills by wrapping them in cheese. She LOVED cheese!

After a few days we realised she was walking behind the sofa, sucking the cheese off and spitting the pills out !!!

Typical dog!!!

We make sure ours have swallowed the tablet before letting them out of the kitchen. We have, in the past with other dogs, had to put the tablet at the back of the mouth and then hold the mouth shut. We've stroked the throat which normally makes them swallow and then checked that it has gone.

It can be a pain but it's the only way to do it sometimes.

We used to put our Old English Sheepdog's pills in a chunk of Mars Bar and he had no idea what he'd taken as he loved Mars Bars so much!

I know they say you shouldn't give dogs chocolate but a bit of milk chocolate didn't hurt him - we came home one day and he'd got one of my Easter eggs out of the box, unwrapped it (without tearing the foil!) and eaten the egg and licked the foil clean!

Doggy chocolate is fine, normal can be bad for them if they have too much.

I love Dobby and would love to be able to give him a fuss.
