I have just been to LLoyds in person to ask if I can keep my account after Bankruptcy. They said that the official reciever might close it and it wouldnt be up to them. She opened the account for me and i had mentioned IVA at the time. She spoke to manager. It was packed and she spoke so loud, 'thought you might go bankrupt' HSBC and IVA's. Although that is not the reason I think there is a warning there. It was really embarrassing, I will have to get used to that.

Lilly do not be emvbarrassed, look to the future, just remmeber this, a society that only sees you as worth a unit of moetary value is not worth it, if people cannot see your inrinisic value of you as a human being then that is their problem not yours, old your head up hgh you are being very brave and courageous in difficult circumtances.

Hi Lilly,
Just wanted to say that I agree with Dominic. Companies raise credit limits to ridiculous amounts with full knowledge of our income!! They must know we can't keep repayments up. They have to bear some of the responsibility too. By doing what you're doing, you've made a big step towards a normal life. I know how relieved I felt when I finally rang my company to ask for help. My creditors's meeting is on Dec 4th and if I get the go ahead I know I'm on the way back.

Thanks you are so right.

There is so much to sort out and I am trying. Most people have been ok, I have told the truth, but the thought of not having a bank account is the biggest pain. I am legal appointee for my kids money and I need it to pay for care, I cannot do it all alone. Anyway I have found out about a pre.pay mastercard plus, wages and benefits can be paid directly onto it. You apply online no upfront payment, they send you a letter with a bar code which is scanned you pay the fee for the card about 16 quid. You can also top up and then you recieve the card. top ups are free after that. Tou need a driving licence number or passport number to apply and thats it.If anyone is interested I post the link.

Good luck for your meetings I will be praying for you. My D Day is the week after.
