Funnily enough I have only - by chance - found out about these pre-payment cards...and I have just applied for a Virgin Mastercard version! I think they are a brilliant concept as SO MANY places do not accept Solo or Electron debit cards which - every time I encounter this - is simply yet another reminder of my "status" or more exactly lack of it!! Mastercard is the most widely accepted "brand" whether it is credit, debit, pre-payment or whatever - worldwide, so it's a good bet for any of us who may be lucky enough to escape to somewhere hot and sunny for a week or two - ha! ha! [8D] It's just another little something that makes day to day coping that much easier and also means not having to - humiliatingly - ask to use someone else's card when only a "credit card" will do. [:D]
