Hi all

Sorry I think I may have asked a similar question before but cant remember what the reply was.Sorry
Co op have agreed I can keep my account now BR, however the OR will be writing to them and the account will be frozen?? I dont quite understand the Freezing bit, how long is it frozen for? is it just a snap shot taken or is the procees longer and the Bank has to wait for permission from the OR to unfreeze it?? I havent been able to get anything concrete from the OR or the bank, they have both said its up to the other. But as I said co op are happy for me to keep it. Its just my D/D's are all still with the CO OP although none due until 08th of next month. I have opened an account with Nationwide for my salary at the end of the month but will revert back to CO OP once i know all ok. But dont know whether to change all my D/D's now.

This is usually sorted out relatively quickly Pippa - and lies with the bank and not the OR. Keep pestering them and you will get a result shortly.

When Lloyds said I could keep my account I rang the OR and they said I could start using my account again. I think this was a couple of days after I went BR.

Thanks both, just didnt want anything else to worry about.

I have in my Bankruptcy pack a document that gives my authority to provide copies of statements and questionaries to the trustee, Its states to sign this form is voluntary. Is there anything I should know before I sign it?

I signed it as I thought that if I didn't they might think I had something to hide!

I am sure it is just to make things easier by giving the trustee access to everthing, but was just making sure I wasnt missing everything,
How are things going skippy, everything ok?

I'm ok thanks Pippa. How are you feeling now you have done the deed? I found that worrying about it in the lead up was actually worse than going BR! I'm still waiting to hear if the OR will want any of my pay rise, but hopefully not as it was only cost of living. I'm also waiting to hear what they are going to do about my premium bonds - I HATE WAITING!!!

When is your OR interview? Sorry if you've already posted it but I think I've got fresh air between my ears where my brain should be!

No probs

I am ok actually, BR was Tuesday, exhaustion has now taken over but I think thats a good thing, my brain has had enough and needs to shut down for a while to recharge I think. I have actually slept some the last couple of nights.

My telephone interveiw is on the 28th August and will last approx 30mins as is the norm I assume.

My boss called yesterday to see if all is ok, and said just to let him know if I need more time off next week and not to go through the office. I am so grateful for his discretion. So everything is fine. I am not going to worry too much about the OR meeting, I have done all I can now.

My OR interview lasted exactly 23 minutes! To be honest it wasn't as bad as I was expecting - it wasn't the grilling I thought it would be. The examiner I spoke to was nice enough and very professional. Just answer the questions they ask, don't offer any extra information and if you don't know the answer to a question say so!

Pippa

The best therapy will be to get back to work on Monday into the thick of it! Having met you, and realising how stressed you were about everything and what a good job you have, you will be far better off being busy than worrying about relatively minor things at home.

Never thought I would say that work is a therapy - but I think you will agree with me next Friday!

Be my guest aguise, but she will charge an hourly rate! she is trying to get some money together to but some new clothes for college wich she starts in September.

To be honest, she has been as good a gold about all of this, we sat down a while ago and had a chat about the situation. And I have kept her updated along the way. It suddenly dawned on me how grown up she is and hopefully this has taught her something too, she has already said she is never getting a credit card!!!
