As far as I know you will be ok with Smile - I think some other people have accounts with them.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi Clasher,
I've got a Smile current account with cheque book/visa debit card and have had no problems since I started my IVA, they are part of the co-op group which seem supportive of IVAs.
Just make sure that your overdraft is actually £0 as when I applied for my account, they automatically gave me the £500 overdraft and I had to send them a secure message asking them to remove the facility.

59 and counting as of 21 August 2007

I have just been confirmed as the latest "SMILE" custmer -I applied on line and after a series of secure emails and personal questions to verify my status, they undertook a credit check and accepted both my husband and I for their basic account - comes with auto overdraft for £500 however need to send a secure email as soon as account is fully opened to have this facility removed! Smile some banks do like us !
