Hi
Has anyone put the Bank of Ireland into an IVA in the last couple of years. We entered into our IVA 3 years ago and they were our main creditor, as they finance the loans through the post office. They were extremely ruthless to say the least and as I'm about to make a full and final settlement offer, it's brought all the old feelings back. I was just wondering if they'd mellowed at all

Hi
As they accepted your original proposal I would say that they are more than likely to accept your full and final.
Are you returning the dividend originally quoted in your original meeting ?

Hi
We originally agreed to pay in 52k however myself and my partner are separating so I've contacted my IP to see if we can put forward the 40k we've paid in so far. Still awaiting a reply in the meantime I've just been reminiscing about when we first went into the IVA. Bank of Ireland nearly tipped me over the edge. I had their solicitor phoning me trying to scare me about my financial situation. it was horrible and 3 years on I really dont want to go through all that again

You shouldn't have any of that at all, your IP will deal with everything and it is a case of just calling another meeting.

In the unlikely event of you receiving a call, then you can refer them to your IP and also be safe in the knowledge that you are legally protected.

I see them a lot in my practice based in Northern Ireland, and generally find them to be pretty supportive.
