Could anyone tell me if there is any reason that going Bankrupt would interfere with my Train Driving Job or if not where i could find out without dropping my name in the mire, before the Public Advert appears in the paper[?]Thanks Darren....

Have you checked your employment contract, or could you ring your personnel department anonymously and ask them?

Hi Darren,

I dont believe your job would be affected, as far as i know. You could ring the help line number on the insolvency website 0845 602 9848 they will be able to give you an exact anwser.

Best thing to do is contact the company's HR department and ask them a confidential question without giving your name.

Hi Darren,

I don’t believe your job will be affected, bankruptcy usually affects people working in the police force, armed forces or professionals in the financial industry (accountants etc).

However as Skippy has stated you will have to check you employment contract or ring your HR department to double check that there is no clause stating you cannot go bankrupt.

Hope this information is of use

Hello, Darren, again as all stated above check anonymously with Human Resources. However, you should be fine as you're not an estate agent nor in the employment areas mentioned above.

Goos luck.
