sorry rachel33 for my response taking so long.
No, I didn't bother filling in the forms from the court because I knew I would be filing for bankruptcy and the bankruptcy would void out the CCJ. Just make sure you list this creditor on the petition and the court number from the CCJ papers.

Take care

hello everyone and sorry for the late reply! I am still getting used to using the site, I can't believe I waited so long to start using the forum, I'm a very quiet person and even though we are not face to face it took me a while to pluck up the courage and I'm so pleased I did! yet another question - do I take any of my bank statements etc to court? thankyou

no you don't need to take any bank statements to the court, the OR may ask for these afterwards when you have your meeting with them.
the only thing you need to take to court is the BR forms and the fee.
good luck

Hi Rachel, no, you don't need to take your bank statements to court. All you need is your BR fees and the petition. Please make sure you take enough copies of the petition - I didn't and it cost me £7 per copy! Check with the court about how many you need as I think it can vary.

Once you have been to court you will have a brief telephone call with the OR's office. Some people wait at the court for it, others (like me) are sent away and get the call later on. They will give you the date for your interview and let you know if you need to attend their office or if it will be on the telephone. They will also send you a BR pack, and you will need to complete the forms and return it with the documentation that the OR has requested - bank statements, credit card statements etc. Don't worry if you don't have all the statements - the OR can get them from your creditors. I would advise keeping copies of everything you send to the OR so that when you have the interview you will have everything to hand if they ask you a question. The best advice I can give about the OR interview is to be honest with them. If they ask you a question and you don't know or can't remember the answer say so.

Good luck, and look forward to the furture x

Thankyou Kerri yet again! I'm on countdown now, I cannot tell you the relief, the stress over the last 6 months has been immense, I really wish I had contacted you all earlier, now the end is in sight though. I feel like life is about to change beyond belief.

Thankyou Skippy, I think because I have had to wait so long for a court date, my nerves are starting to get the better of me!
