More questions, I’m afraid!!! Now the time for my bankruptcy is getting near, I seem to have forgotten everything I have ever read about it and am panicking at the smallest thing!

on the day, how many copies is it again of the petition I need??? My printer does not work so not sure if CAB will copy the forms for us, we are going on Friday to go over them and make sure they are filled in correctly!

do I just take the petition and the money? What about all my paperwork relating to the debts, if I don’t take that on the day, how can I give it to them if I have a telephone interview??

Straight way afterward, can I just go and open a basic account or do I wait for the OR to contact me?

Silly questions I know, but I am not sleeping at all now, I just lie there going over it all in my mind! Its going to be a very long week, I fear!

Hi Jane, don't panic!

I would check with the court how many copies of the forms you need to take. I should have taken 3, but only took 2 (I was very close to crying when they told me I didn't have enough!). The clerk did copy it for me, but it cost me another £7! Give them a call - better to be safe than sorry.

I took ID with me as well (drivers licence and passport) but I wasn't asked for that, which surprised me. All I was asked for was the fee and the paperwork.

You can open a basic bank account straight away, you don't need to ask the OR's permission.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

thanks, yes I'll ring them and check about the copies! Can't seem to think straight at the moment, must be stress. I cannot wait for this to be over, I just cannot relax and I feel as tho I never will again! I am getting worked out about anything and everything, is this normal? We seem to have been living like this for ages and i cannot imagine a life with no stress!

Yes, it is normal. I thought I wasn't affected by it, but Dave said I was a nightmare! Walking out of the court felt great, I got stressed the next day as I was convinced everyone knew I was BR (me being irrational!), I calmed down again and then got wound up again for the OR interview! Once that was over and done with I felt so much better, and it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting!

Jane

I do feel for you right now, I was so scared a week before my own date (christmas week) I kept getting sick at the thought of it. I mean I was actually sick everytime I thought about it. Just kept on telling myself, just enjoy Christmas and then think about it and it will at least be the last of it. As you may know it didnt happen. I think what you are going through is normal but you have come so far, this is almost the last hurdle and you can then think beyond.

Good luck, I will be thinking of you.
