It's worth having a look at the rest of the site as well as there is a lot of information there.
I took ages to complete the forms as I was doing a bit and then going back to them. It's nice that you can save as you go along, and then amend it if necessary.
As far as I know if a court has a walk in policy you'll be dealt with on the same day. It's also worth checking whether it's first come first served, as my court had a limit of 4 people per day, so if you were number 5 you didn't get seen!
Your IP will also be able to advise you about bankruptcy procedures, as well as the IVA, so if you have decided that this is a better route I would give them a ring for further assistance.
you are my IP Melanie, would i call you or tina? was thinking of calling reviva aswell? my heads all over the place at the mo, was so sure i wanted to do iva but now im not- need a psychic to tell me what to do lol
I would give Melanie a ring first and talk to her. She will be able to go through things with you and hopefully make things clearer for you to make a decision.

Yes - I did recognise your forum name! Give Tina a ring in the first instance, as she will be more than happy to go over the bankruptcy option with you once again - and Paul can also give good advice as an alternative.
You learn something new every day I was always under the impression that with BR you didnt have to make ANY monthly payments because the whole point was you couldnt afford to. I thought that after any assets had been paid over that was it, and the rest of the debt was written off. [:I]Ive decided to go down the IVA route anyway as I want to try and pay back as much as I can afford, and I also work in financial services and my company handbook states that I would have to inform my manager which I dont want to do. It may be worth checking your staff handbook as its unlikely to mention anything about BR in a contract of employment.
When you think about it, you should have some disposable income as you won't be paying anything out other than your normal bills.
If there's enough left over you will pay, but if it's less than £100 I think, you don't pay anything.

thank god for calms pills!
Rochelle, you're not wasting anyone's time. You need to ask these questions and you need to be sure about what you want to do. Remember, these posts also help other members who are maybe in the same situation as you, with the same doubts. Keep asking on here and speak to Tina tomorrow. Good luck and I hope you sort this out.
