I made the call, do not need to do anything apart from keep up to date with my payments and call for a consultation in July. Very pleasant, all good, can have my breakfast now and go to the gym !!!
I started running back in June with the plan of doing a 10k at the end of September. The 10k is completely out of the question now as I lapsed with my training! We were on holiday and were both ill and it's taken me quite a while to get back into it. I'm now hoping to do a local 10k in May next year.
I've tried running in the past, but I've always set myself targets that are too high. This time I've got a route of about 1 1/2 miles and my first target is to get round it without walking - I was almost there back in June!
It sounds pretty pathetic that I can't run 1 1/2 miles, but I will do it - any advice welcome!
18 months ago I couldnt run 100m but I completed my 3rd Half Marathon on Sunday and im doing the Birmingham Half Marathon in 5 weeks. Have an entry in for London next year but will see if i get accepted.
Keep working at it Skip and you will do that 10k and love it and want more!!!
Well I went for a run - I nearly didn't but it was such a nice evening I thought I'd better go. It was really hard and I hated every step but at least I did it! I was pleased when I got home as I'd done it 22 seconds quicker than last time.
I'm going to use you as my inspiration TTGH - I'm not sure about the marathon, but I'm definitely going for a 10k!
