After posting last week that it seemed like my old Barclays account was still open and accruing charges, they phoned me 3 times over the weekend. I missed the first 2, but managed to pick up at tea time yesterday. The lady was quite abrupt and started to tell me that no payment had been made into the account for 3 months and that my agreed overdraft was this much and something about reserve overdratfs and how much charges were going on and my responsibilities as a lender, all without barely pausing to take a breath. I let her finish and simply said that we had our IVA approved on the 3rd sept and both our Barclays accounts were included in the list of creditors. She was a bit taken aback by this and went away for a moment and came back and apologised, saying that they had received notification of this but the notice had only been placed on one of our accounts but not the other one!! What a waste of everyone's time.
Carl.
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of credit card payments!!!
At least it should be sorted now Carl! All the charges should now go, well that's the theory anyway!
So glad you've managed to speak to them.
