If you use any sort of O/D facilities, it goes onto your Credit file.....thats what obtuse Banks don't tell you....it is a red flag entry

Can you not put a spreadsheet together or better still, use Microsoft Money to work out your spends for the month ?

I put my salary in as soon as I get my payslip, work out what all the bills are then transfer the balance to my housekeeping account. Because the two accounts are with the same bank (Co-Op) I can make an instant transfer online if I make a mistake (or if the bank do and take £30 out to pay to my IP that I didn't ask them to pay).

I love being in credit every month after having had an overdraft for many years. It just left me sinking and wondering where all the money had gone.
There's light at the end of the tunnel - it's just that sometimes the tunnel seems so long.

Most of our money is paid straight into the bank, but hubbies benefits is from the post office. All I do each month is work out what the shortfall at the bank will be, and pay in sufficient from his benefits so that all dd's are covered.

All ours goes into the bank. I take out lunch monies for lad (in change) and leave it for him to take out what he needs each day - any he has left over through not getting flvoured drink or a snak then he gts to keep and he saves it up. I think for now all our money worries are having a positive impact on him - log may it continue but I am sure it won't last. [}:)]
