becoming a full time paid carer

if i quit my job to become a full time paid carer can i still qualify for an iva

Hi Nicola - I think as long as you can meet your IVA payments the nature of your job doesn't matter.

I became a full time carer after working almost full time hours, I was told my IVA was no longer viable. I only claim carers allowance. If however youre able to propose a full and final with some asset or equity from, then I guess it would work. If youre earning from being a full time carer then I guess it doesnt matter. I was told that income from benefits only to care for a relative, there isnt enough disposable income....
