You may recall some topics I generated last year in relation to relationships, finding love, telling them that you are broke, why and what, and possibly risking them to walk away once they hear that all... well, I am delighted to announce that after almost 10 years without a special person in my life, I now have that someone special in my life and is a genuine (not scammer) internet contact through a dating site (freedating.co.uk).

She lives just over 10 miles away and we are both very much happy. What I made sure was that I told her from the onset of my financial constraints and how they came about... I then took a deep breath and closed my eyes... when I opened them, she was still there... lovely... There was instant chemistry between us and feel such closeness as if we have known each others' souls for years... It CAN happen... Never thought it, but it CAN!

She has even expressed an interest to assist in a F&F if I can get an acceptable figure that she can afford (or coupled with possible assistance from my parents later in the year).

I took the plunge... opened my mind and heart and a lovely lady saw through the mess and is an inspiration to humanity... or she is just blind! ... Me? never! but... YES! It is true... just letting a prospective love know your inner mind including finances CAN get a result... not sure on the percentages though!!!

53 down 19 to go.

Thank you for your kind words... yes it is wonderful... After a few weeks of correspondence, I went over to see her on 1st June when we met up at her local in Bracknell, then last week during my "off" week, we spent another 6 days together... She has a lot of health issues to care for, but then so do I...

Among so many other health issues that she has... you are not gonna believe this... but I was taking her to physio for her arm (tennis elbow?) and so was in a sling... while we were on the way there, a car ran into the back of us and caused her severe whiplash... now she has that... cannot wear the sling and now has a bad neck and back to-boot... Now is signed off work sick... As I say, with all her more serious medical conditions, she is most extra special.

Oh... yes... and then there was Monday last week... she left her house keys at work and office closed so had to pay £175 for a locksmith to get us in her house... quite the pickle me thinks... but can I complain? NO! absolutely not... I am really happy :-)

I have been able to get some emergency annual leave this week, so cutting the shifts short and with next week being my "off" week, I will be able to spend great time with her and to help her mend as quick as possible.

Ohh ... Dots ... I am so pleased for you ... could you send some similar energies my way ... I have had to bribe my daughter to go to the Neil Diamond concert with me tonight as there is no-one special in my life!

Thank you Debbie, your words have always inspired me and I think maybe you should also be happy before long... it may only be just around the corner... As far as Neil Diamond is concerned... give him a call, maybe he will invite you backstage?!?!?

Sorry... working tonight! I hope you have a good time if you manage to get there...

Thank you all from us both... I read out all your kind words over the phone and it was quite an emotional reaction... I can only wish that everyone has a chance for a good story to come to fruition...
