He doesn't deserve to be treated like this - let's hope the local authority come to their senses soon.

I am getting a visit from the assessor, or whatever it is they call themselves these days. It's for 10:00 am this morning. Let's hope this sorts out this idiocy once and for all. I'll keep you posted ... you never know I might be begging for lodgings before the week is out LOL

The Assessor has just left and has sorted out the ridiculous letters I have been receiving from the council. Because of Mrs Wizz's slight increase of £20 pw there will be a small payment to make on my rent and CT but this I can cope with ... Now I have to go to my IVA provider and see what they have to say payment wise. Hopefully there will be no increase there [:D]

I'm glad you got that sorted out Ray, must be a relief.

I'm sure your IVA payment won't alter, after all, everything else is going up isn't it?

At least you have finally seen someone, but its horrid you now have to pay extra.

There is so much going up at the moment. Its really quite worrying.

Glad its sorted Mr Wizzz. Personally I think all councils are the same, so many staff that don't talk to each other

Well, I've just got the final paperwork from the council and now know what my wifes 'increase' is going to cost us. Our monthly income increase is £35.00 pm ... our monthly outgoings because of rent and CT has now gone up by £125 pm. Go figger !

Might not sound like a lot to some but to us it's 15% of our total monthly income.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Sorry to hear that Ray. I hope you can get hold of your IP to discuss this with them.

I know it's not something that you want to do, but would BR be an option for you?

I think it should be something he should look at as an option.

I put that forward as a possible to Mrs Wizz and she will not consider it at all; and as I rely on her for practically everything then her word is law LOL ... but could possibly be worth broaching again.

I think you should broach it again - why is she so against it? You could clear your debts and it's unlikely that you would get an IPA as your income is so low.

There is not the same stigma now that there was years ago and it's not advertised the paper.

You could both enjoy a well earned retirement with no money worries.
