Hi,

This is my first post, however I've been a reader and benefitted over the past couple of years from some very handy advice on this brilliant website and thought it a good time to start participating.

A bit about me - I'm into month 39 of an IVA with Blair Endersby and do have some issues that I need to sort out which I'll post a little later on in the hope that advice on here will help me resolve them.

First though I just wondered if anyone else had noticed that Blair Endersby Directors Nicholas Morgan and James Kaye have resigned, apparently on 09/07/2009? See this link to Companies House records - http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/1474f ... order?ft=1

Is it something to do with the sudden improvement in customer service that I read about recently?
Should this be a worry to anyone with a Blair Endersby IVA?

I do know one of the new IPs at Blair Endersby having worked with her for a number of years. She is a very caring and professional person and would be an asset to any business. If Blair Endersby are making changes it may actually be for the best.

By the way Bunky, welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting this far.

I second that! Antoinnette Thorpe, who is the person Michael is referring to, was one of the best case managers I ever had the pleasure to train and then work with some years ago.

Any client who has their file transferred to her supervision is bound to be well looked after.

Hi Bunky, welcome to the forum, I also am with Blair Endersby my IVA was approved on the 21st July 09, so far I have not had any problems although the two people you mention are on my notes as my IP's.

Hopefully they will not have rocked the boat to much if they have departed and the good service that I have received will continue.

Hmm, I didn't know about James and Nick going. I would have thought clients would have been informed of a change of IP?
Service is certainly better, they made a mistake this month and actually apologised and rectified it there and then - no waiting days for phone calls, being fobbed off and ignored - an actual real life prompt resolution!!!
Completion Certificate received September 2012.

Hallway, please email me with your details (name, address, Blair Endersby reference number) as this would appear to be an administration issue which needs resolving swiftly. Apologies.

Wow, I can't believe how much the level of service has improved recently. I am just beginning my 4th year into my IVA. Given past experience, I never thought I'd be able to say this but I am now really, really pleased to be with BE.

The difference is incredible. It's so important to have an approachable and fair IP. I used to so envy all you guys with Melanie but I can actually say I'm really happy with my IP ;-)

I like to read positive comments re IP's. Sounds like BE are working towards good things. I'm lucky I found melanie via the forum
but all too often read the frustration in posts whereby the poster cannot contact their IP, which only reiterates how important it is you choose wisely who you share your IVA journey with.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks for post this is James and Nick we decided to leave BE to start our general practice.
The impovements in customer service at BE are part a long term commitment by BE to improve and was something we were directly involved in and supported.
BE has now employed several additional IPS to replace us and we believe we are leaveing the cases in good hands.

Well good luck to you both, I have just started my IVA with BE and both of you were named on all of my documents as my IP's, all I can say is follow the lead of Melanie Giles and her team and you have a recipe for success.

Good luck in the future and thank you for dealing with my IVA.

Regards BP

im just in the process of awaiting my documents to be delivered and im slightly nervous as it seems a lot of bad press has come the way of BE so as you can imagine im thinking "perhaps not" but then again the way people have talked in the last post it seems like thing are picking up. im hoping you can answer a few questions that could help me

1) i was asked to cancel my direct debits and then advise my collectors "i was waiting for an iva and to pass on the details of BE" is this the usual case?
2) to open a new bank account?
3) if my money never changes and i never make any extra money are they still allowed to ask for extra money?
4) while im waiting for my iva approval can my collectors still chase me even if i have advised them of the iva?
5) most importantly if my iva is rejected and i have cancelled the direct debits what is my best plan of action from there?

hopefully someone out there can help as you all seem a pretty knowledgeable bunch

Hi Rooney 22. All firms have unhappy clients at some time but if you yourself do not feel comfortable you can always seek another opinion. However, their advice seems perfectly correct as you are unable to meet your payments to creditors so should prioritise your expenditure. Only cancel DDs relating to your unsecured creditors and ensure your mortgage etc is still paid.

If you owe your current bank money it is also correct to open a new account to stop your current bank seizing your wages and claiming set off against outstanding liabilities.

Your payments to the IVA are based on what you can afford and only change when your income increases or decreases.

If your IVA is rejected you can still enter debt management or petition for bankruptcy. IPs will not propose IVAs that they do not believe will be successful so if these options were better you would not be suitable for an IVA anyway.

Hope this helps a bit but any other queries and post again. Good luck with your IVA.
