Brilliant Kazzy, You're blog is great. You sound so organised, I might give the wallet thing a go, that's such a good idea. X

Viki, it is SO simple and works really well. Certainly worth a try - and you can keep any relevant receipts in the wallets as well, ready for the annual review (for those in IVA's). Thanks for following my journey, but I think you virtually lived it with me anyway didn't you? [:D] Kazzy x

Ah Kazzy, I think we're all going through it together. I'm obviously not in an IVA but having absolutely no money at all, I understand the importance of budgeting. I think I'll see if I've got any folders lying around and do some calculations tonight. I like to see it all on paper. Keep blogging, love it. X

kazzy....well done on next episode....i really enjoy reading other peoples lives...a bit like a telly programme...only real life.!!

i like the wallet idea ...we keep all our petrol and housekeeping in cash...draw it out on pay day and then its in a box...with a notebook..pen and calculator...so we keep a running total....anything left at end of month we either spend on a treat or carry over...last time we had some over we went to cinema on "orange wednesday" to see mamma mia....

keep blogging girl.!

Thanks DM, good to see that you are budgeting. It is tough at times, but certainly gives you a feel good feeling. Keep going, you'll soon be there. If you get the time, give lots of the blogs a read, they give you great info and will almost certainly help you in realising that there are others out there with similar experiences that we can all learn from. Take Care Kazzy [;)]x

Good morning Kazz and peeps. I've just read your Blog Kazz and I only wish I could string my thoughts together like that. I found it very informative. Still to each his own, eh. Which brings me to the reason for this post. I do something similar except I never actually see money, everything is done via the bank and my handy little Solo card. In order to keep track with it I use a home Budget program call Ace Money which is free and can be downloaded online. It handles all my budgetary needs and tells me at a glance just how much moolah I have on hand at any one time and even up to 3 months in advance if I so wish. For any who may be interested the program can be downloaded from http://www.mechcad.net/products/acemoney/. I can heartily recommend it and found it invaluable before IVA.

Great Wizz, I'll have a look (love the new handle by the way). You can string lots of words together, especially in the form of wit. By the way, I have left you a thread on Friends Corner. Take a look. Kazzy x

Hi Wizz, Acemoney looks really good. I use MS Money for my home accounting and it looks very similar to that. Great for a freebie download too. These programmes really help you to know exactly where your money is going. Certainly worth a try. Kazzy x
