Well its freezing here today! Have 2 electric heaters on to try and take the chill off the room.

My cold is streaming now and I feel ( and look ) lousy. Been over daughters for a nice hot soak and have a key to go back and for as much as I want. Oooh she'll be sorry [:D]

Luckily I have my own giant hot water bottle....Dobby!! He has decided he is going to sleep on me, like it or not [:D]

I do miss having a fire of any sorts...we just have radiators. I think just seeing a fire makes you feel warmer...oooh and I wouldn't say no to the toast either [:D]

Hi Julie sorry you feel so poorly and hope you feel better soon.

Dobby will keep you warm I'm sure!

I've had toast this morning but only made in a toaster, I do have fireplaces in every room including bedrooms as it's such an old house, however they're blocked up due to my fear of birds!

Sorry you're still feeling lousy Julie - but dog hot water bottles are lovely aren't they? Lloyd always warms my feet up!

Waiting for the engineer to phone back, fingers crossed the part is in and they can come out today. Dread to think of another day without heating and hot water on tap!

I'm absolutely full of flu now but will have to wrap up warm and take Dobby for a walk, albeit a short one.

Don't forget to snuggle up to Dobby as well!

What a pain that you're still not sorted though, especially as you are not at all well.

I hope it gets sorted tomorrow.

Doesn't look like getting fixed until Friday, apparently its a special order....its a gas valve for a boiler for goodness sake!

I'm wrapping up warm and going to footie tonight, at least it'll be warm in the car and warmer in the stadium than here.

Dobby not happy that the radiator is freezing he keeps going upto it and checking [:)]The cats are snuggled on their blanket so they are not bothered in the least.

That is not good Julie! Should have been fixed by now.

Enjoy the footie and the warmth!

Poor Dobby - he'll be in seventh heaven once you're fixed!

Boiler booked in to be fixed Friday [:0][:(]...they are sending out some heaters for us, which is something I suppose, if they arrive.

4 times I have had to phone to get some answers, so I've made a complaint. Whats the point of paying insurance if you're left without heating & hot water for days???

Luckily the dishwasher & washing machine heat up from the cold supply, so can still use those.

If it wasn't for the pets, we would have booked into a hotel and claimed it back from the company. It is sooooooo cold here. We've been able to take showers/baths in daughters and in laws, but its not the same as being in your own house.

Sorry that it's taken so long Julie, that's really poor service.

I hope you enjoyed the footie last night!

Skip - the footie was dire! One of the worse performances I've seen in a very long time. It was quite warm though and did me good to go out and see some friendly faces.

Hi Julie, that's appalling service considering your paying for it. Would they wait for you to pay your premium? I doubt it. If it happens again in bad weather tell them you have elderly or disabled people staying and they have to treat you as a priority.
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.
Wait over....certificate recieved 3rd May 2014

Hope it all gets sorted on Friday Julie and that you're back to a nice warm house (and plenty of hot water for baths!) at the weekend.
