I have been asked to give in a couple of weeks worth of petrol receipts as our petrol bill is quite high. I did a weeks worth then today I went shopping and filled up the car - and forgot to ask for a receipt. I'm sooo annoyed with myself

Do you think it will be ok to give the receipts over in a few weeks when I've re done it or should I give last weeks in and then next weeks?

If you are filling up weekly then just send them in in 2 weeks time, that should show a rough pattern of whats being spent.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

I wouldnt panic too much about it,as long as you get the receipts in future!!(its hard getting into the habit of asking for them)

Loads, the school is 7 miles away and shopping is a 40 odd mile round trip. Thats without everything else. (if I go to tesco extra its a 60 mile round trip)

Is your IP questioning the amount of miles you do or the amount of fuel you use to do the miles you do.

When my proposals were being drafted my petrol allowance was increased as Melanie thought what I had put down was insufficient - just as well she did with the hike in petrol costs out in the wilds.

Why don't you just note down what you actually spent this week - I am sure one missing receipt will not spoil matters.
