We had central heating and insulation all put in free of charge a couple of years ago. Our house is always so warm though. Probably because theres loads of us in here of you count the animals too.
I remember being a teenager in this house when mum lived here and i had just had my 1st child. All mum had was a coal fire and then changed to a gas fire. That was the only heating in the whole house and it was freezing. It's hard to believe its the same house now in winter.

I used to love a coal fire. Nothing nicer than toast done on there -yummm!!!!

Mum used to wrap potatoes in foil and they would placed in the ashes to cook. The skins were so crispy and the taste was divine!

Making my mouth water here typing this!

My house is an old house and cold! No cavity wall here I'm afraid as solid walls. I'm used to it but I know some of you wouldn't like it!

I have turned the thermostat on the air con at work to heating now! I was still freezing until the sun came round at lunchtime!
