Hi dm

Sorry do you mean will the holiday affect the IVA or the IVA affect the holiday?

As the answer is almost certainly 'no' in both cases you probably have nothing to worry about.

Hello dm.

My IVA was accepted last Thursday (15/03/07) and i did ask ThomasCharles, and my IP if it was ok to go away on Holiday, and they said no problem as long as the IVA fees are paid.

I am going away in June, i booked and paid for mine last year before i even thought about the IVA.

If you have not had your creditors meeting yet,ask your IP if he/she could arrange it fot either before you go. or when you return,as you will need to be next to a phone on the day of the meeting.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Ian
Looking forward to the 15th March 2012

Was the holiday paid for using credit which you are now asking to be written off? If so, you may feel guilty about taking the break, but there is no point in worrying about something which cannot be changed.

You will not get a refund from the holiday company without good reason, and the creditor concerned is unlikely to be too concerned. I suggest that you take the holiday as it may be some time before you can afford another one.
