Hi, All

Like to thank all the experts and fellow members for advice, I have my br appointment(court) on monday(5th nov), hope it all goes through.
I have 9k of debt and currently not working but wife is. Does the amount you want to declare matter as I have notice alot people in these posts have alot more 60k+ (which I hope get sorted :-))and mine is nothing to some I`ve seen. I am in and out of work due to sress related illness I`ve have been last 10 years, but with this debt on my back it has been alot worse. For the last 5 years I been managing to just pay the minimum payments then missing payments then levelling them again thanks to my wife, but at present she is covering all my debt and it is taking its toll. I just wanting to get this debt of my back and try and start a fresh with my wife and maybe build a career and maybe kids in future before I`m too old(34 at min).

Anyway drop me a line if you like :-)

Neil

There is no monetary limit on the debts you can go bankrupt for, but I always feel that it is a shame for those people like you who have very low debts. We anticipate seeing a new procedure being introduced over the next year or so called a Debt Relief Order which will address this issue, but will be sadly too late for you.

Good luck at the hearing.

I just wanted to wish you good luck for Monday. Believe me it won't be as bad as you think. I think the minimum you can go BR for is £750 (Melanie please correct me if I'm wrong).

When I went BR it was a weight off my mind - although I had tried an IVA I knew it wouldn't work. I've had my ups and downs, but it does mean that I can move on with my life.

Good luck, and please keep posting for support and to let us know how you are getting on.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
